Day 1 : Arrival to Amman Airport

Meet at Amman International Airport and transfer to the Hotel of your choice. Dinner and Overnight at Amman Hotel

Day 2 : Madaba - Mount Nebo - Kerak - Petra

Breakfast in the hotel. Drive southwards along the Kings’ Way to Petra. Visit en route the site of Madaba, holding the oldest map of the Holy Land, and its Mosaic School. Continued drive to Mount Nebo and the alleged burial site of Moses overlooking the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley. Then, drive through the magnificent scenery of the Wadi Mujib to Kerak. Lunch at Kerak Afternoon visit of Kerak’s Crusader’s Castle. Finally, proceed to Petra. Dinner and overnight at Petra Hotel.

Day 3 : Petra

Breakfast in the hotel. A full day to visit the many sites of Petra, a city that was carved into the rose-red Sharah Mountains by the Nabateans after it was lost from Civilization until recently discovered by the Swiss Burkhardt. We walk through the “Siq”, a narrow and winding fissure between the cliffs, to reach the Treasury, visit the Roman Theatre, the Courts, Qasr Bint Pharaoun, the Temple of the Winged Lion and other monuments. A break for optional lunch, or you may wish to climb up to the Monastery. Lunch at a local restaurant Dinner and Overnight at Petra.

Day 4 : Petra - Wadi Rum - Amman

Breakfast in the hotel. After breakfast, departure to visit the Wadi Rum Desert (with a short ride in a 4x4 vehicle) and its awesome moon-like landscape. It is here that the famous movie “Lawrence of Arabia” was shot. Lunch at Wadi Rum Return to Amman via the Desert Highway Dinner and Overnight at Amman Hotel.

Day 5 : Jerash - Ajlun - Amman

Breakfast in the hotel. A late morning tour of Jerash (Gerasa of antiquity), the best preserved city of Roman times. We visit its theatres, temples, churches and colonnaded streets. Lunch at Jerash Then continue to Ajloun to tour the 12th century Saracen Castle built by one of Saladin’s lieutenants in the campaign against the Crusaders. Dinner and Overnight at Amman Hotel.

Day 6 : Um Qais - Pella - Dead Sea - Amman

Breakfast in the hotel. Drive to Um Qais, Gedara of the Bible (Mathew 8:28-34), for a spectacular view of the Sea of Galilee, the Yarmouk River and the Golan Heights. Continue to Pella in the Jordan Valley, Proceed down to the lowest spot on earth, the Dead Sea, and experience floating on its waters! Lunch at Dead Sea. Return in the late afternoon to Amman. Dinner and Overnight at Amman Hotel.

Day 7 : Desert Castles - Amman City tour - Amman

Breakfast in the hotel. Morning depart to visit the Desert Castles, located in the eastern desert of the Kingdom. We visit alternatively the fresco art and zodiac dome of Qasr Amra baths; the fortress-like enigmatic Qasr Karana; the Roman fort turned Umayyad residential palace at Qasr el Hallabat and finally the black basalt Roman/Medieval Islamic fort at Azraq. Lunch en route Back to Amman for a City Tour, visiting the Roman Theatre, the Citadel, the Archaeological and the Folklore Museums, and the old and modern part of Amman City. Dinner and Overnight at Amman Hotel.

Day 8 : Departure from Amman Airport

Breakfast in the hotel. Transfer to Amman International Airport, and assistance with departure formalities.
